What would be a new generation feel to the game ? You want them to rebuild the game from scratch ?

The ball physics look better than the ps3.

Pence appeared really frustrated at times. I watched the rewind on the IGN app in my ps4 tonight, it made a huge difference in quality.

I can only guess that some want it to look like some other company developed it from scratch. It looks like The Show but better. I don't understand, and nobody can describe how they want it to look or play, other than it needs to be different.

Player movemeants the way they catch and throw the ball even way they hit the ball needs different vairations the players all move catch and throw the ball the same way ..Would like to see the ball phyics tweaked even more when i hit hr wanna see where the ball lands no matter where it is fair or foul so different camea angles all around the stadium playerable camera angles would help make the way this game plays diff from last gen ..

To use a quote from one of my favorite movies, "the one constant through all the years, has been baseball. Americas rolled by like an army of steamrolers, but baseball has marked the time." Not much in terms of gameplay can be changed, baseball is what it is, they don't call it Americas national pastime for nothing. I get wanting player movement upgrades and such, but when people say they want new gameplay, I don't think that'll happen.

I never said there was no difference in the way it looks from the Ps3 its going to more powerful system so that alone will make it look little better .. Its jus i was hoping for diff player movemeants from the start which really going from last gen to new gen should happen..Gameplay would be diff with diff ways to field, throw the ball even hit the ball then jus with the same animation that is tied to all players ..

All the things I noticed:

1. Game looks great (animations, smoothness, ball physics, QC).

2. Day to night transition looks natural.

3. Middle flag in the stadium was frozen while rest of flags blew to RF.

4. For those unhappy with Pence, he had a smile on his face the whole time and thanked IGN for having him. I actually thought he seemed like a good guy and just hadn't played the game before. You guys are too harsh.

5. Puig seems competitive and like he enjoys playing. Other than not answering some questions, he seemed fine to me.

6. Normally Greg Miller is weird but does a serviceable job on IGN. Not today. He treated his guests (specifically Pence) with a small about of ribbing that came off as being a douchebag. Instead of adding to the experience, he took away from it.

7. Can't wait to play...game is looking fantastic. Those that say they are unimpressed are welcome to their opinion. But were you expecting $1500 video card graphics from a $400 PS4?

Ultimately, my impression as a Far from casual player of this series is that they are building the block from where they left off in the PS3 world. What that means to me is, there is not a massive technological overhaul in the PS4 world just yet with the likes of retractable roofing, unbelievably new looking player/fan/umpire models or unprecedented collisions or animations. But what I can see is best described as an extra-ordinary advancement from where you left off in the Playstation 3.

The new batting camera, for one, which I'm not sure is in the PS3 is a marvelous addition and looks fantastic on the game. The new addition revealed today of a dynamic catch region is very exciting as well, especially if you got to see it. The presence of the ball boys also sticks with me, the sound and presentations were not on display in this live stream but it was very evident a brand new feel of presentations were on display feeling very from the PS3 era, in my opinion.

Gameplay, to me feel the most unchanged overall but there are very important new things that I saw which were impressive. Firstly, they don't need to overhaul the gameplay anyway because that's the foundation that was set and built by the Playstation 3 era which makes the game the #1 sports game to most of us. However, what I found very evident, the A.I of the batters which mentioned as a feature in the features list. I feel like their strike zone has become a little more advanced because I saw them getting to pitches out of the zone, but still hittable enough to make contact. Even more, I was pleasantly surprised to see the pitchers behavior with runners on base, looking off runners, and authentic looking pickoff attempt strategy on display.

We will learn more about gameplay of course when we get our hands on this game ourselves. But again, my impression is they have built on what we had and I see signs that we are in store for a lot of good surprises and improvements to gameplay exclusive to the PS4 version.

The biggest cons I saw personally were, occasional ghosting glitches in replays and cutscenes (nothing major, but like a foot stepping through a bag, and a first base minor leg ghosting). Secondly I personally get annoyed with the crowd directly behind homeplate moving around too much, and vendors appearing in the 1st row behind homeplate. It seemed toned down but that's still a presence in the game. Most of you may not ever even care about that.

I'm annoyed that Puig steals on first pitch and at every base. Definitely a Online LOBBY player.

1. I agree, signature animations would be nice (and could see it as a future possibility). 2. What specifically about the ball physics do you want to see? I thought there was a good variety of hits/throws shown during the stream. 3. Those are new gameplay cameras they were playing with... so you're saying they're not different enough? There's other cameras still, too.

MLB2K and The Show play similar but yet so different, so I get that there can be differentiated gameplay. However, if it ain't broke then don't fix it. While I do think this franchise will continue to make solid strides year after year, there will be a fundamental element that is unique to The Show. If people want completely different gameplay, then a different studio needs to step up.

I don't buy the next Battlefield release expecting them to completely change the gameplay (for this purposes, expect it to play like COD). I buy COD if I want COD. I buy The Show expecting it to play like The Show. What if they completely changed the gameplay and it made it worse? The same people would be complaining about that, twice as loud!

Also, those who say change gameplay, please give suggestions. What could be done better/differently. Madden gets ripped apart, but they give specific examples (db/wr interaction being a big one). All I get from these forums is that they want it different and don't know how. That means they make a damn good baseball game that should be making subtle tweaks for perfection, rather than making a whole new game/experience.

Wo, if this new batting camera does what I think it does, I'm so pumped!! I can't see it well on my pc, so I can't really tell, but does it follow the flight of the ball? Damn, its hard for me to explain in visual terms what I mean! Ok, you know how when you're watching a game on tv, and a homer is hit into the upper deck, the cameras follow the flight of the ball? Is that what this new batting cam does?

Just remembered one more thing I noticed. Load times.

In the interest of speeding up time in the game, I wonder in the future if players can't be given the option to play a 3 or 4 game series all in one shot. Essentially, if I go with QC, it would be great for all the assets to load just that one long time, and then after each game, the stats could be saved temporarily until the series ended when all the stats could be saved into the franchise. Just a thought.
