Madden NFL 17 patch 1.03 is available now, weighing in at 4.8 GB on PlayStation 4 and 368 MB on Xbox One.

Let us know what you're seeing!

UPDATE: Here are the official Madden NFL 17 patch notes:
  • Fixed a gameplay issue where the player on defense could tell if the opponent was going to run or pass
  • Client-side fix for the bug where you could see ratings of the upcoming draft class prior to the draft (server fix already applied to Cloud Franchises)
  • Reduce the amount of strip-tackle attempts made by the CPU
  • Fixed a major desync which was happening when a user went from Skills Trainer to Online (happened fairly often after the new-user flow)
  • No passing icons on PA, Force defender tuning, nano detection system tuning, users not getting stamina penalty when meter depleted
  • Force defenders not dropping back vs. run when in zone coverage; Play Action desync; Fumble frequency in MUT solos.
  • Lots of high priority gameplay fixes that includes:
    • Stripping the Ball from behind the ball carrier is overpowered - We found a bug where the defender was getting multiple rolls at causing a fumble per animation
    • Occasionally on Play-Action passes, the user would be unable to throw the ball
    • Play-Action Pass Desync Online Head to Head Desync
    • MUT Online - Fixed an issue with Cowboys uniforms that could result in a 'white on white' situation
    • Acquisitions Screen showing rookie/free agent ratings before the draft - fixed
    • Fixed a crash that would occur in the Guantlet after making an interception in the Big Man Rumble challenge
    • Occasionally, users were triggering 'Nano Detection' when successfully using the 'Off the Line Mechanic' on RT as a pass rusher
    • Occasionally, users would lose all pre-play functionality when selecting a defensive linemen while breaking the huddle
    • Occasionally, user would see defensive plays disappear in the playbook screen after selecting an audible during the previous play
    • Fumbles occurring too frequently in MUT solos where the CPU-controlled team started with the lead
    • Force Players will be better at containing the edge once they get engaged
    • Force player will be faster in breaking out of Read and React and into Force
    • Cover 1 plays were sometimes not aligning to Trips formations correctly
    • Occasionally, offensive linemen would run to the end zone and not block when running no huddle repeatedly in Draft Champions.
    • When Force players on the playside of any non-counter runs had a zone coverage assignment, they would drop back into coverage at the snap - this has been fixed
    • Fixed a Crash in Franchise mode that would sometimes occur in Franchise mode Practice during goal completion

If this is on PS4, it's because swiping up on the touch pad calls for a coaches challenge. I've done it a few times myself.

Yes. It is fixed. (PS4 for me)

XB and PS4 are no way that different in patch sizes. I know there was also a commentary download today so maybe that is what some are seeing on XB1

I really hope they fixed the CPU scrambling issue.
Honestly it is killing the game for me.
It makes the gameplay so unrealistic to see a wide open gap for the qb to run for a first down. Only to have him throw the ball out of bounds. I have need seen a CPU scramble once in the 50 or so games I have played.
Last night in my Bengals franchise game the Jets had the ball on the 5 yard line, it was 3rd and goal.
Fitz rolled out to the right there was absolutely no one around him. He could have crawled into the endzone. Whats he do? Holds the ball for 6 seconds just sanding there with no one around him until a defender gets close than he throws the ball out of bounds. It cost the Jets the game as he could have tied the game with a TD.
I watched the replay 10 times and it was just horrible.
Yeah that sounds horrible. I also do CPU vs CPU a lot and QB's scramble but end up throwing across their bodies into the middle of the field for an easy int. Anyone else seeing this? This is before any patch or tuner update.

In the woods, but my friend 3 miles away has high speed internet, 25mg download, with Verizon. Just saw my wife was downloading a movie though so that should cut the time in half.

One thing to remember everyone:

When there is a patch or major gameplay change it is always good to take 5-10 full games before deeming anything "not fixed". Booker21 just posted a video of Jared Goff scrambling in his CFM, and the video was Pre-patch. Does that mean there wasn't an issue with scrambling? No, but the small sample size can always be deceiving.

Get a good sample size of any issues you see so that accurate troubleshooting can be done.

Just had Wentz move out of pocket almost to sideline and throw deep for completion.
I may be almost ready to start my 32 Team CFM...

Keeping an eye on it.

When are they releasing official patch notes? Patch looks good so far.

Played the Seahawks and it didn't freeze this time. Nothing really seemed much different. I noticed some more atrocious OL AI but I don't think it's indicitive of anything to do with the patch. I did see this though:

Have to play more but I've played Wilson, Mariota, and Kaepernick pre-patch and through the probably 30+ games I'd played had only seen a scramble like that one time and it was by Derek Carr. Outside of that one play though Wilson was a statue for the entire game so it could have just been a flukey thing.

What about a patch for the 32 team CFM ticker bug?

John White said this is working as designed on Twitter, but they are looking into possibly making an option.

Let us know what you're seeing!

Fixed in this patch:
  • Pre-snap glitch where you could tell a pass/run by whether the receivers had a name listed or not
  • Fixed a bug with prematurely showed incoming rookie ratings in franchise mode
  • White against white jerseys appearing in Head to Head games
  • Freezing during MUT Solos should be fixed
  • The Force Defender was tuned to lower effectiveness on outside runs
  • Blocker occasionally not blocking in the hurry up offense
  • Strip Tackle attempts by the CPU were reduced (Percentages were tuned in recent Gameplay Tuner)
  • A desync issue with Play Action passes where the QB would either lose passing icons or could not move has been fixed. This fix should also affect CPU QBs not scrambling.
  • Defenders will now slow down when their stamina is depleted
I have a question related to the last point regarding defenders slowing down when stamina is depleted. Will this affect the offense as well? If not, we will see folks spamming "No Huddle" online from start to end. They already do that and it will make the problem worse.

IMO EA should build some sort of logic which punished "No Huddle" spammers. If folks go with "No Huddle" offense outside of the final 2 mins, players on offense should lose their stamina much more than the defensive players or they should drop the ball a lot more. This will force people not to use "No Huddle" offense throughout.

This was a specific bug on defense. When stamina was depleted defenders would not see a stamina penalty and slow down. Now they will.

QB SCRAMBLE: Playing the Titans, Mariota was facing tight coverage and with open space ahead of him, bolted from the pocket, picking up about 20 yards. He also scrambled two additional times - both for large gains, while his receivers were blanketed by the secondary.
